खालील कारणांमुळे बांधकामाच्या दर्जात फारशी सुधारणा झालेली नाही.

 1. construction चालू असताना काळजी  घेतलीतर  Mistake कमीहोतात           पण  काळजी नाही घेतली तर खालील mistake होऊ शकते.

a. concrete मध्ये creak

b.concretelyआणिbrick work  मध्ये अयोग्य bonding.

c.  Plaster मध्ये अयोग्य bonding

d.  wall मध्ये ओलसरपणा

e.  Slab मधील गळती

f.    विटांच्या बांधकामात creak

g.  foundation आणि  wall मध्ये Settlement.

2.  बांधकामाची जुनी पारंपारिक पद्धती चालू आहेत कारण ती स्वस्त आहेत आणि कंत्राटदारांना सोयीस्कर आहे

3.  कंत्रादार स्वस्त मजुरांना कामावर ठेवतात, आधुनिक machine वापरात आणत नाही.

4.  बांधकामाच्या जुन्या technique मध्ये machine पेक्षा जास्त श्रम लागतात.

5.  कंत्राटदारांनी civil engineering चे  शिक्षण घेतलेले नसते.

       6.  Residential buildings बांधकामाच्या चुका कडे दुर्लक्ष केले जाते.

 7.  बांधकाम साहित्य जसे की sand, brick and aggregate, धुतले जात नाहीत.

8. Footing concrete करताना, 1 मीटरपेक्षा जास्त उंचीवर concrete  टाकले जाते.

 9.  Trapezoidal footings चे concrete करताना कधीही vibrate करत नाही.

 10.  Foundation कामात bottom strata Compaction केले जात नाही.

11. Reinforced concrete (RC) columns, building चा एक महत्त्वाचा भाग आहे, हे mechanically vibrated आणि machine mixed केले जात नाहीत.

12. Reinforcement चे Cover columns, beams आणि slabs मध्ये अपुरे असते.

13. Column ची alignment foundation level वर बरोबर नसते.

14. Plinth level वर  Rc coping  करणे हा  dampness प्रतिबंध चा महत्त्वाचा भाग आहे  पण कधीही टाकले जात नाही.

15. Plinth भरणे कधीही layer मध्ये किंवा compact केले जात नाही.

16. विटांच्या बांधकामाच्या joint वर morter भरत नाही.

17. मोठ्या उंचीवर brick work joint योग्यरित्या rack केलेले नसतात.

18. Plaster आणि brick work मध्ये mixing ratio योग्यरित्या केलेले नसतात.

19.Slab casting करताना beam बाजूने सांडलेले concrete कधीही काढले  जात नाही.

20. Column चे reinforcement RCC slab वर उघडे ठेवले जाते.

    21. Plaster करण्यापूर्वी concrete च्या भागावर hacking केलेले नसतात. 

    22. Lintel चे Bearing पुरेसे नसतात.

 23.Two way slab मध्ये Corner reinforcement प्रदान केले                                                                                                                          जात नाही ज्यामुळे corner उंचावतात.
