HOW TO CALCULATE QUANTITY OF FLOORING TILE | FLOORING TILE CALCULATION

Room area = 3.15 m x 3.10 m

Room area = 9.765 SQM

Skirting in running meter = 3.1 + 3.1 + 3.15 + 3.15

Subtract door opening = 0.9 m

Skirting in RM = 12.5 – 0.9 = 11.6 m

Assume skirting thickness = 0.1 m

Skirting is in sqm = 11.6 x 0.1 = 1.16 sqm

Total area in sqm = 11.6 + 1.16 = 12.76 sqm

Area of flooring  tile = 0.6 x 0.6 = 0.36 sqm

No. of tile = total Room area / Area of one tile

No. of  flooring tile = 12.76 / 0.36 = 35.44 nos.

Add 5 % WASTAGE = 35.44 X 5% = 1.77 NOS

TOTAL NO OF TILE = 35.44 + 1.77 = 37.21 MEANS 38 NOS TILE

TOTAL NUMBERS OF TILE REQUIRED = 38 NOS.

NO OF FLOORING TILE  ( 600 x 600 ) IN BOX = 4 NOS

THAT MEANS = 38/4 = 9.5 BOX

TOTAL NUMBERS OF BOX REQUIRED = 9.5 BOX
